TONING LASER
what is TONING LASER?
Pico Toning is a laser skin treatment that uses ultra-short pulses to break down melanin
pigment in the skin through a photoacoustic effect. By delivering energy in extremely short
bursts, it causes less thermal damage to surrounding tissue compared to conventional lasers,
making it a popular option for treating pigmentation concerns.
The number of sessions varies depending on the individual’s skin condition and type of
pigmentation, but multiple treatments (often around 5–10 sessions or more) are usually
required for optimal results. Some patients may experience mild and temporary redness,
swelling, or discomfort after the procedure.
how it works
During treatment, Pico Toning delivers laser energy in ultra-short pulses within the
picosecond range directly to the target area. These pulses break pigment particles into tiny
fragments through a photoacoustic effect, while causing minimal thermal damage to
surrounding tissue. This mechanism helps effectively clear pigmentation while reducing the
risk of post-inflam matory hyperpigmentation compared to conventional lasers.
In addition, picosecond lasers can be used with different settings and techniques to promote
collagen remodeling through a process known as laser-induced optical breakdown (LIOB).
This process helps stimulate dermal remodeling, contributing to improvements in skin texture
and overall skin quality over time.
